Dear friends and family,

 

I am reflecting on loss in many forms, and experienced by many people tonight. 

 

Father,  help us all to deal with death in all its forms around us- death passed, death coming and death shared.  Protect our minds and hearts that we will not be dismayed, nor beaten, but remembering You have conquered death.  It cannot keep its prey.   Love wins.  Love wins over grief and outrage and hurt. Love wins over wrongs done; it bridges those gaps that would isolate us.  Father seep deep into our spirits and wash them with balm so, protected and safe, we can move and speak and live out of the knowledge we are loved.

The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light.  They lived in the land of shadows, and now light is shining on them.
