Fast away the old year passes….
Along the way there’ve been many twists and turns, surprises, disappointments, wonders and sorrows. But life is not a balance sheet in which we hope it’ll all even out eventually. To make life a sum of nil?
No. It might not ‘balance’ out at all.
As I reflect on 2010 it is not that none of it matters- but that ALL of it matters. Each joy, each sorrow, each up and down. It all matters because we do. Love says so. Again, if it all matters because WE do- it is not that the latest triumph is the MOST meaningful, or the hurt we bore- so infinitely important…. It is that you and I matter.
Celebrate your joys, be consoled in your sorrows- for you matter.
