Life is intricate and finely tuned- some would say there is a balance- an order- to it all. But does that mean it is even, rigid, mechanical and calm?

On the contrary. A waterfall smashes down a cliff onto a river bed below. What's happening? Water seeking its level enroute to the sea. Is it at a fixed and balanced rate? Not at all. Earlier- that water meandered slowly in streams- or melted imperceptibly from snow-topped peaks.

Does water look as if it takes the most direct route? Have you seen all the bends and turns and extra miles of river between the border and Lake Winnipeg?

Water- a most basic thing in life is dramatic and changeable, wild and placid- but it finds its goal.

Why should I be surprised that God uses all sorts of twists and turns and experiences to lead me on a path He's set for me?

He is an artist.
