I woke at 4:30 this morning…not sure why… but I was able to fall back asleep until 6:20. Good thing I got up then because Radar would have missed our morning routine garden check if I’d only got up at 6:30. I do TRY to get to Curves by 7….
I tried to convince Oma’s Bakeshop to start making rollkuchen. Nope. Too time consuming. That’s why I want THEM to make it!
I was listening to something on CBC yesterday morning and some women were talking about their mother who recently died. Apparently she loved to sing and Abide with Me was one of her favourites. It was kind of special to hear these daughters join and sing a few measures…as they remembered the words. They sang without accompaniment, and in their normal, non-professional but reasonably good voices.
……Change and decay in all around I see…..oh Thou who changest not, Abide with me.
Sometimes we are overwhelmed by death, disease, and trouble...
Sometimes we are overwhelmed with change….
But we can trust One who will not decay and will not waiver from who He is.
