When this new puppy feels lonely and abandoned at night as we turn out the lights and put him into the kennel - I will pick him up just for a minute and hold him still. He will struggle and whimper - and then he will quiet. I put him back in his solitary bed and rest my whole hand over him. And it is well.

Ahhh - even if it is well with my soul - my insides aren’t as happy. I have another call into the doctor and hope to have a plan so that Alissa’s and my trip to Rome will be comfortable.
I’d appreciate prayer for this. We leave tomorrow and come back on the 30th. Judy Ford has asked to take care of the new puppy - Sherman – and the other girls will be around to take care of Radar. He will probably love being the only dog again for a bit….and maybe….he’ll associate the new puppy with me and Alissa coming home on the 30th.
