travel surely to the lake shore
There is no darting- no gestation
Just strong and steady.
It's the shore, its trees and shelter
that but allow the slips.
Yet through the branches, dappled leaf-light,
the shore still knows.
Tis a mighty water body
that approaches
Water slips, the shore is hedged
yet both are known.
