Loren was taken off the meds to keep him sedated and has roused and become more lucid as the afternoon has progressed. His pain seems to be under control with no hiccups, and he is recognizing his visitors and being his usual Loren-self. When I arrived, sat beside him, and said 'hi', his groggy response - without opening his eyes - was, "What took you so long..."
Thanks so much for the great response to his friends and family signing up to sit with him. There are still many openings for Thursday, Friday and beyond.
