Lorne & Felicia have met with the oncologist following the scope that Loren had on Wednesday. Chemo was presented as an option, palliative chemo, but both of them are leaning towards not going with this as the side effects would limit Loren's energy and comfort.
Loren will have a port implanted for the purpose of administering medication.
A bone scan is scheduled for Monday at HSC to check into something found on his hip bone.
Time frame was discussed and we are talking months.
I will close this off with a note from Felicia:
"We are savouring every moment, some sad, some solemn planning...and some joking, :) . we cherish your love and your prayers."
Carla and Rod
This just in...
Loren has a weekend pass. He'll be home sometime today and will return to hospital Monday morning.

Just as the soft rains fill the streams,
ReplyDeletepour into the rivers and join together in the oceans,
so may the power of every moment of your goodness
flow forth to awaken and heal all beings,
Those here now, those gone before, those yet to come.
By the power of every moment of your goodness
May your heart's wishes be soon fulfilled
as completely shining as the bright full moon,
as magically as by a wish-fulfilling gem.
By the power of every moment of your goodness
May all dangers be averted and all disease be gone.
May no obstacle come across your way.
May you enjoy fulfillment and long life.
For all in whose heart dwells respect,
who follow the wisdom and compassion, of the Way,
May your life prosper in the four blessings
of old age, beauty, happiness and strength.
Lots of good, positive energy,
Mike
